Greetings, my name is Amanda Moss, and I am humbled to serve as the Assistant Principal of Huntley Hills Elementary School. In my most formative years, I walked these very hallways, so it is indeed an honor to return.

Over the course of my career, I have had the distinct pleasure of working in DeKalb County Schools as a paraprofessional, special education teacher, instructional support specialist, and lead teacher for special education.

I was born and raised in DeKalb County, attended Huntley Hills, and graduated from Dunwoody High School. I received my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Special Education, obtained my master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and am certified in Educational Leadership. I am married and have four children, two who are DeKalb County high school graduates and are now attending college; and two who are currently enrolled in DeKalb County Schools. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, crafting, and spending time with family.

I am a strong proponent of early childhood education and am committed to serving the students in DeKalb County, by helping to create an environment conducive to learning and building positive relationships while focusing on increasing student achievement. I am looking forward to meeting all of the students, parents/guardians, and staff at Huntley Hills and am excited to be able to serve at the school that once nurtured me.
