Following feedback from stakeholders, the DeKalb County School District (DCSD) will employ Virtual Learning Days to make up time lost in January to inclement weather.
There will be one Virtual learning assignment for each subject area (Reading/ELA, Math, Science and Social Studies) of a student’s day. Students will receive a grade for each virtual learning assignment. Students will have five school days plus a weekend to complete virtual learning assignments. These assignments will be available in VERGE, on the Huntley Hills website under Academics and will be sent via STAR folder and/or email from your child's teacher before each of the assignment windows.
Assignments will be made available to students during two windows:
- February 27-March 5, 2018; due March 6th
- March 8-14, 2018; due March 15th
Note: Pre-K, Kindergarten and students in the S/PID programs will be sent assignments via STAR folder.
Please make sure that your student completes each of these assignments and submits them on or before the due dates. Teachers are available to provide support to students as needed during the Virtual Learning window. Parents can communicate with their teachers as needed for support or to request hard copies.
Please call or email your child’s teacher at 678-676-7402 if you have any questions about virtual learning days.
